Wealthmasters Financial Management has been placed into voluntary liquidation after a string of complaints was upheld by the Financial Ombudsman Services.
The company, which started trading in 2009, had permissions to provide both pension and investment advice.
Whilst the advisors used ‘’vanilla’’ portfolios with Sanlam and Novia, the investments into Dolphin Capital Loan notes or the Greyfriars Portfolio Six (P6 – which was made up of a variety of unregulated overseas property-based corporate bonds – were high risk and unregulated) got them into hot water.
