Kent based Facts and Figures Financial Planners Ltd entered voluntary liquidation in July 2019.

The Financial Ombudsman Service had found that the firm did not act in clients' best interests when promoting high risk investments into Harlequin Property and they were required to pay compensation.

Unregulated Investments

Simon Webster of Facts & Figures Financial Planners Ltd had a well established business relationship with Simon Harris & Stephen Roger Osborne of Atlantic Overseas.

Simon Harris at the same time was a regulated financial adviser and director of Lansdown Place Financial Management Limited.

Mr Osborne was a mortgage adviser trading as The Mortgage Company.

Simon & Steve both reassured clients that they had invested themselves. However, most of our clients explained that it was never made clear to them that neither Simon or Steve were authorised or regulated when advising as Atlantic Overseas Partnership or Atlantic Overseas Investments.

SIPP Transfers

Steve & Simon would transfer customers to Simon Webster of Facts & Figures Financial Planners Ltd.

The firm facilitated most transfers on execution- only transactions whilst charging a fee, and asking clients to sign a statement explaining they were making their own investment decisions.

Review Your Transactions

We urge you to get those transactions checked out if you had dealing these with firms or advisers and have signed such documents.

The regulatory body has strict rules in place – and, even if you believe you have signed your rights away, we may still be able to assist with claiming compensation.
